St. Brendan lost to American back in January of 2019, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The St. Brendan Sabres walked away with a 75-66 victory over the American Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sabres.

Defeat or not, American got some senior leadership from Derrius Black and Angel Torres. Black dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards, while Torres posted 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Garcia, who had ten points.

St. Brendan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

St. Brendan and American should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. St. Brendan (ranked 109th) will meet Carol City (ranked 522nd) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, American (ranked 187th) will meet Miami Springs (ranked 673rd) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
