Volleyball Recap: Gunn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gunn and Westmont squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Gunn had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2015.

Gunn actually scored more points across those five sets (108-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 14-25, 16-25, 16-14.

Elizabeth Tanriverdi paced Gunn's offense, picking up 23 kills. Tanriverdi got some help from Audra Yuan and her 45 assists. Yuan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jessica Jacobson, each putting up three.

Gunn's defeat dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Westmont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-16.

Gunn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Westmont, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Aragon on the 4th.
