Volleyball Recap: Rapid City Central Comes Up Short

Rapid City Central lost against Washington back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cobblers came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Cobblers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-8.

Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hannah Nesdahl out in front who had 21 digs and five aces. Nesdahl is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ivy Freesemann, who had 13 digs and two assists.

Rapid City Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Washington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Rapid City Central and Washington are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Cobblers will challenge Brandon Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Washington, they will take on Aberdeen Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
