On Saturday, Central faced Jackson in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Central Rebels fell to the Jackson Fighting Indians 55-49. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Jackson, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Central will square off against West County at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Doniphan at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
