Softball Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mendenhall can now relate to. They came up short against the Pass Christian Pirates on Thursday, falling 12-0. The Tigers were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the 12 games prior), but the Pirates' pitchers proved too tough.

Mendenhall saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Fewell, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Mendenhall's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Pass Christian, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 24-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Pirates beat Mendenhall by a score of 12-0 later that day.
