Volleyball Recap: Village Christian Comes Up Short

Village Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrisburg Tigers.

Village Christian's offense was headlined by Eileen Herrera and Victoria Ann Miller, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Allexa Valencia and her seven assists. Talia Mardrussian and Izzy Aragon kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Leading Harrisburg to victory were Josalyn Samuels and Lindsay Langner. Samuels had 15 assists and two aces, while Langner had nine digs. That's the most aces Samuels has posted over her last eight contests.

Village Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Harrisburg, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.

Village Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Ironwood Ridge on the 20th. As for Harrisburg, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Torrey Pines on the 20th.
