Basketball Recap: Blue Hill Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Ellie Mangers and Reece Mlady

Blue Hill lost against St. Cecilia back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blue Hill Bobcats fell 37-27 to the St. Cecilia Bluehawks. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Reece Mlady and Ellie Mangers certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Mlady almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, while Mangers posted 13 points. That was a full 48.1% of Blue Hill's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Blue Hill now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Cecilia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Blue Hill Bobcats duke it out with the Superior Wildcats on Tuesday. As for St. Cecilia, they will welcome Cross County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
