Volleyball Recap: Platte Canyon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Platte Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Arrupe Jesuit Generals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Platte Canyon took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 26-28, 22-25, 25-22, 15-6.

Their offense was headlined by Zo? Lubansky and Brooke Chick, who picked up five kills apiece. Chick really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Finally, Abbi Tomasko kept Platte Canyon's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Arrupe Jesuit, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Platte Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lake County on the 19th. As for Arrupe Jesuit, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Peak to Peak on the 17th.
