Football Recap: Hector Takes a Loss

Hector came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 49-6 loss at the hands of the Mount Ida Lions. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Drew Newport threw for 41 yards and one TD.

Hector's defeat dropped their record down to 6-1. As for Mount Ida, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Hector didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 47-18 victory against Westside on the 24th. As for Mount Ida, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-13 win against Bigelow on the 24th.
