Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Huskies vs. Smithville Smithies

The Northwestern Huskies will take on the Smithville Smithies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Northwestern lost to Chippewa at home by a 64-49 margin. The Huskies have struggled against the Chipps recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, on TuesdayWaynedale kept up with Smithville until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Smithville put the hurt on Waynedale with a sharp 61-37 victory. The Smithies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Smithville, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
