The MacArthur Generals are taking a road trip to take on the Meridian Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. MacArthur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

MacArthur's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Lanphier as they made off with a 17-0 win. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Luke Karunas made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aidan Bruce, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison England, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

MacArthur always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lanphier only posted an OBP of .154.

Meanwhile, Meridian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 8-3 to Central A & M.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for MacArthur, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything went MacArthur's way against Meridian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as MacArthur made off with a 14-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
