Fillmore posted their closest victory since April 17, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Carpinteria Warriors 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Flashes also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Johan Reyes was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Santiago Avila, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fillmore has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Carpinteria fell to 5-1.

Fillmore will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carpinteria: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
