Volleyball Recap: Lumen Christi Falls to Petersburg in First Game of Season

Lumen Christi unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Petersburg Vikings by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lumen Christi sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22.

Coming up, Lumen Christi will take on Sand Point at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Petersburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Ninilchik on the 9th.
