Basketball Recap: Kerman Takes a Loss

If Kerman was feeling good fresh off their 96-55 takedown of Morro Bay two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell 62-55 to the Sanger West Hornets on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Kerman lost, don't look at Von Bibioff. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field en route to 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The contest was Bibioff's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Ekam Randhawa, who posted 15 points.

Kerman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sanger West, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Kerman and Fresno Christian will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Lions will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
