Big Walnut has won six straight games at home, while Canal Winchester has won six straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Golden Eagles will take on the Indians at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Big Walnut's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six contests.
Big Walnut is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 43-0 victory over Walnut Ridge. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won nine games by 21 points or more so far this season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Big Walnut was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Walnut Ridge only rushed for 21.
Meanwhile, Canal Winchester won against Groveport-Madison back in October with 28 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Indians beat Westerville South by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 28-21. The Indians pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.
Big Walnut better focus on containing Jamari Snow and Quinton McGhee as the pair were huge in Canal Winchester's win. Snow rushed for 79 yards and one score, while McGhee threw for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, McGhee racked up 128.6 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August.
Big Walnut's record now sits at 10-1. As for Canal Winchester, their record is now an identical 10-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Buirley and Snow. Buirley just won't slow down this season and has run in 13 touchdowns while averaging 187.6 rushing yards per game. Snow has been a dominant force too and has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 82 rushing yards per game.
Big Walnut strolled past Canal Winchester when the teams last played back in October of 2023 by a score of 17-0. Do the Golden Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
