Volleyball Recap: North Central Has No Trouble Against South Border Co-Op [Wishek/Ashley]

North Central hadn't done well against South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Thunder were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Thunder were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs, so the Thunder were just returning the favor.

The win didn't come easy: South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.

Lindsey Geier paced North Central's offense, picking up ten kills. Geier got some help from Camryn Witlock and her 15 assists. Alaina Dosch controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

North Central's victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, North Central is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Faulkton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Thunder's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley], they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leola/Frederick at 7:45 p.m. on the 29th.
