Volleyball Recap: Laredo LBJ Takes a Loss

If Laredo LBJ was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Eagle Pass last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves lost 3-0 to the Alexander Bulldogs on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-8.

Alexander can attribute much of their success to Brianna Espinoza, who had nine digs and four assists.

Laredo LBJ's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 25-12. As for Alexander, they are on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 24 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Laredo LBJ and Alexander will both be playing United the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
