Softball Recap: Brooke Takes a Loss

Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to the Edison Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 last Saturday.

Maggie Diserio was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Emma Michel also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. Edison has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will square off against Steubenville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Edison, they will take on Indian Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
