Basketball Game Preview: Crooms Academy Panthers vs. Orangewood Christian Rams

The Crooms Academy Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Orangewood Christian Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangewood Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Crooms Academy, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Crooms Academy got the win against Burns Sci-Tech by a conclusive 62-39. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Crooms Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ammel Camphor led the charge by shooting 56% from the field on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Cestero, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Orangewood Christian came up short against Horizon on Tuesday and fell 69-61.

Orangewood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Crooms Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Crooms Academy beat Orangewood Christian 78-70 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
