Volleyball Game Preview: Mohave Accelerated Patriots vs. North Valley Christian Academy Lions

Mohave Accelerated is 0-4 against North Valley Christian Academy since October of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m.

Mohave Accelerated came up short against Wickenburg on Monday, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, North Valley Christian Academy had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights.

North Valley Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-10, 25-11.

Mohave Accelerated better focus on containing Mackenzie Benso and Brooke Lovas as the pair were huge in North Valley Christian Academy's win. Benso had 11 digs and five aces, while Lovas had five digs and two aces. Lovas is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

North Valley Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive matches.

Mohave Accelerated's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their record is now 26-7.

Mohave Accelerated suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Valley Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
