McLaughlin came up big in Tarpon Springs' 18-0 victory
While Monday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Alexis McLaughlin. On Monday she made a splash, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). It looks like she has Gibbs's number considering she had a big game the last time she faced them, too.
McLaughlin and Tarpon Springs will head out on the road to challenge Largo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tarpon Springs is 8-2 against Largo going back to February of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
