Volleyball Recap: Astoria Takes a Loss

If Astoria was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tillamook on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fishermen fell just short of The Dalles Riverhawks by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fishermen of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Astoria has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for The Dalles, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

While Astoria had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
