Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brandeis Broncos. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Broncos earlier this season, when they won 56-47.

Sean Tisdall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Brandeis, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Tisdall continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Montoya, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Brandeis, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-12 record.

Clark and Brandeis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Clark will challenge SA Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 218 places (128 vs. 346). Similarly, Brandeis (ranked 207th) will meet Madison (ranked 472nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
