Baseball Game Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. Eastside Eagles

Chapin will venture away from home to face off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chapin will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Chapin is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Spring Valley on Saturday as they made off with a 17-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Eastside unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 6-3 to James F. Byrnes.

Chapin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Chapin skirted past Eastside 5-4 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chapin since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
