Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berea). They put the hurt on the Pickens Blue Flame with a sharp 7-4 win on Tuesday. Kristofher Ortis was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Berea, bringing their record up to 7-5-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matches. As for Pickens, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Berea and Pickens could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Bulldogs will challenge Daniel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (95 vs. 27). Meanwhile, Pickens (ranked 170th) will meet Greer (ranked 38th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
