Volleyball Recap: Britton-Hecla Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Britton-Hecla and Groton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Britton-Hecla had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in October.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 22-25, 25-21, 25-17.

Britton-Hecla's offense was headlined by Karlie Zuehlke and Daynika Zuehlke, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Jaelee Grupe and her 33 assists.

Britton-Hecla's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Groton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Britton-Hecla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Groton, they will square off against Rapid City Christian on Tuesday.
