Watauga had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.2 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the McDowell Titans a 3-0 shutout. Considering Watauga have won 12 contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Quincy Honeycutt and David Ganley scored all three of Watauga's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Watauga's victory bumped their record up to 14-3-3. As for McDowell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7-3.
