Basketball Recap: Immaculate Conception Academy Comes Up Short

Immaculate Conception Academy lost against CHESS Christian back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Immaculate Conception Academy took a 74-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the CHESS Christian Royals. Immaculate Conception Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

CHESS Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Silas Kempe out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kempe a new career-high in blocks (three). Josh Huff was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards.

Immaculate Conception Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for CHESS Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Immaculate Conception Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for CHESS Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-49 victory against Spring Valley Academy on the 25th.
