The Wheaton Academy Warriors will challenge the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Marian Central Catholic will be up against a hot Wheaton Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Warriors were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Aurora Christian on Friday.

Josh Hilde looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Wheaton Academy: the team is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jackson From was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Eli Tate was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Marian Central Catholic never let their opponents score on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over Schaumburg Christian. That looming 20-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hurricanes yet this season.
Conor Brandt made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Brandt was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Marian Central Catholic got a massive performance out of Mason Graf, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Owen Neuzil, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Marian Central Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Wheaton Academy now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Marian Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wheaton Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Marian Central Catholic struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Wheaton Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Marian Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 13-8. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hurricanes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
