Wauconda entered their tilt with Crystal Lake Central on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 1-0 shutout. Wauconda's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Mario Torres, who's now up to 14 this season.

Wauconda's victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1. As for Crystal Lake Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5-3.
