With a playoff win on the line, Melbourne rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Rivercrest Colts 75-36. The Bearkatz have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Rivercrest lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Destiny Burks, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 19 games she's played. Randashia Booker was another key player, putting up four points.

Melbourne pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Rivercrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season.
