Whitewater strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Upson-Lee Knights. The 55-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Whitewater's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Montford, who posted nine points along with six boards and four steals. What's more, Montford also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Asher Lamz, who went 5-for-9 en route to 15 points and six rebounds.

Whitewater's record now sits at 5-0. As for Upson-Lee, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Whitewater will head out on the road to take on Troup County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Upson-Lee, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Taylor County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
