Basketball Recap: Copenhagen Starts off Right with Win over Poland

Copenhagen took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 74-41 win over the Poland Tornadoes. The Golden Knights pushed the score to 74-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tornadoes cut but never quite recovered from.

Copenhagen got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Lawlee out in front who went 9-for-12 en route to 25 points and seven rebounds. Lawlee is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Logan L'Huillier, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards.

Copenhagen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Poland, they will challenge Sherburne-Earlville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
