Basketball Recap: Union Piles Up the Points Against East Forest

Union's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the East Forest Bears 59-30. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights/Damsels as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trent Fleming, who posted 22 points. With that strong performance, Fleming is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Gage Jordan was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards.

Union was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Union's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for East Forest, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Union will host Clarion Area at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Clarion Area is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season. As for East Forest, they will head out to take on North Clarion at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
