Volleyball Recap: De Soto's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

If De Soto was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tonganoxie on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves on Saturday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Maci Mcdowell paced De Soto's offense, picking up four kills. Mcdowell got some help from Kylie Groves and her five assists.

Melia Peters was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had five digs and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, De Soto fell to 6-1. As for Blue Valley Southwest, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

De Soto wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Washington on the 13th. As for Blue Valley Southwest, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Platte County on the 13th.
