Basketball Recap: Duchesne Skates Past San Juan with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Duchesne over San Juan in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Duchesne Eagles blew the San Juan Broncos out of the water with a 67-17 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Duchesne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chezney Farnsworth, who went 10 for 16 on her way to 23 points and five boards. Lexie Davenport was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Duchesne was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Duchesne is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for San Juan, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Duchesne wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-24 victory against Gunnison Valley on the 14th. As for San Juan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-47 defeat against Grand County on the 16th.
