Tremont is 8-1 against El Paso-Gridley since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Turks will take on the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Tremont has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while El Paso-Gridley will come in with three straight victories.

Tremont might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to Lexington, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, El Paso-Gridley beat Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 14-9 on Monday.

Sloan Gentes was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Jaelynn Krones was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

El Paso-Gridley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .463. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Tremont's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for El Paso-Gridley, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Everything went Tremont's way against El Paso-Gridley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Tremont made off with a 14-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Turks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
