Two dominant backs in Ty Benton and Sean Vester are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The South Putnam Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Riverton Parke Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Putnam is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They breezed past Fountain Central to the tune of 45-7. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

South Putnam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Cline led the charge by throwing for 75 yards and two TDs. Cline's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

South Putnam better keep an eye on Derek Collom. He was instrumental in Riverton Parke's win, rushing for 85 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
South Putnam's record is now 9-2. As for Riverton Parke, their record now sits at 11-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. South Putnam has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 317.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Riverton Parke struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 390.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
