Softball Recap: Gaston Takes a Loss

Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Garden Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 17-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Gaston's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Spring Garden, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Coincidentally, Gaston and Spring Garden will both be playing Cedar Bluff the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Tigers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 10:30 a.m.
