Soccer Recap: Butler Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Garinger Wildcats, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Butler can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Garinger are ranked 40th).

Butler's goal came courtesy of Matheus Albino, which was the first he's scored this season.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Garinger, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.

Butler will head out to challenge East Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garinger, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chambers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
