Basketball Recap: Midland Legacy Takes a Loss

Midland Legacy lost against Pebble Hills back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Midland Legacy Rebels fell 54-44 to the Pebble Hills Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Spartans are ranked 130th).

This is the second loss in a row for Midland Legacy and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Pebble Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Midland Legacy will be taking part in a tournament against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midland Legacy is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pebble Hills, they are taking a road trip to challenge Socorro at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
