After flying high against North Toole County on Friday, Big Sandy came back down to earth. The Pioneers were beaten by the Denton Trojans 64-34 on Saturday.

Despite the loss, Big Sandy still got an impressive performance from Jaesun Yirsa, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

Big Sandy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Big Sandy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chester-Joplin-Inverness at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. Denton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
