Basketball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Rampart's Third in Last Four Outings

Pueblo West typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Rampart proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 78-70 win over the Pueblo West Cyclones. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-59 on February 4th.

Several Cyclones players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ezekiel Stump, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 23 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Andrew Trujillo, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.

Rampart has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Pueblo West and nudges their season record down to 13-10.

Rampart wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-52 victory against Vista Ridge on the 21st. Pueblo West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
