Basketball Recap: Johnson County Sports Association Comes Up Short

Johnson County Sports Association saw some tournament action on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths and fell 68-21. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Johnson County Sports Association's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jason Calaway, who posted no points in addition to five assists and four blocks, and Gavin Sims, who had nine points. Calaway has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Bowen Simonton also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
