Hudsonville came tearing into Tuesday's contest with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Berrien Springs Shamrocks by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hudsonville took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-11.

Hudsonville can attribute much of their success to Emmy Poll, who had six digs and five aces. Annalise Gifford also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Hudsonville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Berrien Springs only served one ace.

Hudsonville's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Berrien Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10-4 record this season.

Hudsonville will challenge Grand Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berrien Springs, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against South Christian on the 23rd.
