Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Maries). They blew past the Orofino Maniacs 50-6 on Friday. The Lumberjacks have beaten the Maniacs the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Maniacs has come to flipping the script.

St. Maries' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brock Barta led the charge by picking up 98 receiving yards and two scores. Aiden Yearout handled things on the ground, rushing for 82 yards and a rushing touchdown.

St. Maries' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Colin Degravio and Kodi Mitchell, who each picked up one sack apiece. St. Maries received some extra help from Kristoffer Brusseau, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

St. Maries' win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Orofino, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither St. Maries nor the Maniacs have any future games scheduled.
