Baseball Recap: Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets vs. Heath Bulldogs
After flying high against Licking Heights on Monday, Mt. Vernon came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Heath Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Mt. Vernon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Higgins, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
