Glendale was the 3-2 winner over Washington when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Glendale fell 10-7 to Washington on Thursday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leonardo Raygoza and Matthew Najera did some serious damage despite the final result: Raygoza scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Najera scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Alex Elder also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Washington, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glendale will host La Joya Community at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against Cortez at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Cortez has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.64 runs per game on average), something Washington will no doubt try to take advantage of.
