Volleyball Game Preview: Piggott Mohawks vs. Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds

The Piggott Mohawks will challenge the Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Piggott is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Cotter just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Piggott started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-10.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Guy-Perkins rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Griffins 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunderbirds have posted since August 25th.

Guy-Perkins' win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Piggott, their loss dropped their record down to 22-6.
