Football Recap: Newton South Comes Up Short

After soaring to 33 points the game before, Newton South was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 23-7 bruising from the Acton-Boxborough Revolution. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Revolution apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Newton South dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Acton-Boxborough, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Newton South and Acton-Boxborough will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Lincoln-Sudbury at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Acton-Boxborough, their break will end when they face Westford Academy at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
